Our story
MeCantara was born from a universal frustration: all those feelings we cannot quite put into words.
Cantara comes from Latin cantare — to sing. Not stage singing, not the recording studio. The song of a mother soothing her child to sleep. The tune you hum while thinking of someone. The song that says what words alone cannot express.
"Me" is intimate. It means for me, sing to me, my song. Across languages, it is understood instinctively. MeCantara literally means: sing to me.
There are moments in life when you want to say something immense to someone, and ordinary words feel too small. A birthday. A wedding. A departure. A return. Or just a Tuesday, because that person deserves to hear it.
MeCantara was born from that frustration. From all those feelings we cannot shape. From all those occasions when we give flowers because we do not know what else to do.
We brought artists together. Real musicians, real writers. And we gave them one mission: turn your story into a song.
A song created for me Yours.
MeCantara sells the moment when someone presses play and bursts into happy tears.
It is the gift people still talk about years later. The one the person shows their children. The one you listen to again at night through headphones.
